Amazing Race

Hello! me and my art class are doing a drawing challenge, called the amazing race, in which we have all been given one object, and have to do loads of drawing and such about it, I have a Plastic bag for my object. Number thriteen should be above, as I still havn't worked out how to re-arange thet format.

Anyway, this is the first Challenge, we had to do a drawing of our object. I twisted it into this shape, otherwise I wouldn't be able to do the shadow properly.

The second challenge was to do the object as a wire frame. (Don't look at it!) I mean it, LOOK AWAY!

The third was a simple drawing of the object in your hand. with eyes shut. and one line.In case you can't tell, its my hand holding a bag.

Fourth, the Negative Space challenge. Get two objects, put them by your object, and draw the space around it. My two objects were an apple and a book.

The fifth was a picture of your object, made from your object. I made this out of plastic bags, and taped and cutt it until it looked like a plastic bag. I then tore stripes of newspaper up, and put then in. And afterwards a little buch of kids came to my house and now there is newspaper everywhere.Sorry its so small :(

Drawing challenge six was like number five, but this time I made me!!!
This really looks a lot like me, shame I couldn't get the braces.

Number seven time!!!! This one was really really tricky. I had to make a drawing of my object... with SCIENCE!!! I made a plastic bag incubator, for a rare bird know as the Prixy. It is really rare, aaaaaannd it doesn't exist...
Moving on.
Just want to apologise about all the sideways photos, but most of my photos will be side ways, and I don't know how to flip them.

Number eight was quite simple. What I had to do was draw my object, then draw objects related to that object, aaannd then draw objects related to that object, and etc.
The top photo is from before I used pen, and the one below is after.
starting from the middle, there is my plastic bag. And since toilet paper comes in bags, there is a roll of toilet paper rolling out the left-bottom of the bag. And beside that is a toilet (duh) and by that is a sence from HP and the chamber of secrets, namely the part with harry and the basilisk. nearby are some glasses and a thunderstorm.
At the bottom of the page there is a big pile of trash, because plastic bags are trash. And overlapping it is a big rubber glove for picking up rubbish, and a face with a massive nose going 'eww rubbish is stinkay!'
A thought bubble by the face has a fish in a bag in it, and behind it is a bigger fish(outside the bubble) blowing out... Bubbles!
Higher up, on of the bubbles looks like a apple or an orange, and behind it is a bowl of fruit, with an empty bowl nearby, which looks like a harmonica! So by it there is an actual harmonica playing Zelda's lullaby from Legend Of Zelda. I would go into more detail now, but I'm out of space, so TTFN! Ta Ta For Now! (And no, I'm not a fan of Winnie the pooh, I'm a fan of Winnie ther Pooh, honestly, TV people making all the adaptations wrong. Piglet is supposed to be GREEN!)

Anyway, this is number Nine, Which is an alternate universe that has at least two ideas from the previous challenge. I had the big snake, pipes, fish, and bubbles. Basicly, they live in the sewers and are annoyed at rubbish always being dumped in there, so now they are all gathering to take over. What a cheery thought!
(Thats why they're wearing plastic bags, in case you were wondering.)
I have improved this picture, but I havn'y got a photo yet, so be patient.


Ok, number ten, a big-old colloge, but 3D! There is another one before this, and I have now noticed that on the papers that i'm getting the assingments from, they accidently have two number three's, which i've labeled number four and three.
For this one, there is a plastic bag, with two paper flowers in it. Then there are all those strips of paper. Oh, and every single item from my pencil case :)
See if you can guess how many objects are in it!

Number 11!! bascilly, a colloge, but flat this time. Kind of rubbish, but, well... what else coul I do? I have a plastic bag!

Anyway, here is the other number nine i mentioned. Its the pleastic bag, in words! I have the word plastic bag, rubbish, white, clear, aaaand a lot more.











Yay Number 12!!!! it's a comic, involving the charectors from number 9 and 8. it's a fairly bad comic though. Also, if you were wondering what the conection to the plastic bag is, the bad guy has one on his head.

Cool Photos

I like this scupture because it is really pretty the way the metal shines, and the metalic color is a nice contrast to the greens and browns of real lizards. 

The artist who made this is named Ptolemy Elrington, who uses old hubcaps to make birds and dragons and such, with a knife and a hacksaw. I was really suprised at this, as it really dosn't look like hubcaps at all! I think that this one was made in 2007, i'm not completely certain yet... please comment if you know!

This picture is from my Plastic bag amazing race thing(See Below). I filled a bag with water and blue food coloring. Then poked holes in it and made a waterfall!

I was supposed to do somthing else then, but I really wanted to see if this would work. It looked cooler there though.
